Just wondering if anyone on the board has had their transmission serviced yet on a 2004 or newer LX. The reason I ask. The 2004 and newer uses "WS" transmission fluid that is not suppose to be mixed with any other type of transmission fluid, and if it is you will have problems. It is also suppose to be good for 100K miles before it needs to be serviced. I was talking to a Lexus tech. and he claimed they used type IV in the 2004's which I know is wrong. Just a heads up if you decide to have the Lexus dealer service your 2004 or newer LX personally talk with the tech that will be doing you transmission fluid change and make sure he understands that he has to use "WS" transmission fluid in your vehicle. I'm not having mine done until 100K miles since I will normally trade before then and I am covered by the CPO warranty, plus mine is a DD that is never even used in rush hour traffic.
