LX model rumors?

I hear that Lexus is introducing a LX500 to replace the 470 and a LX430, anyone else hear this? Gees, Lexus is doin a great job of makin my LX450 obsolete, yea it's great for off-roading but seeing how I live in metro detroit there isn't much rough terain out here for us 450/80 series owners.

I wouldn't worry about it. Personally, I like the more distinctive fender bulges of the 450 over the 470. The 450 is a fine ride, all the years are underpowered. I wouldn't mind an old model with a nice body/interior and a blown engine and installing a GM LS1 6 liter V8. The 6 liter LS1 makes 300hp @ 4400rpm and 360tq @ 4000. This would REALLY make the big Lexus truck haul.

A good place to look for model changes would be Lexus' home market, Japan.
Occasionally, I'll visit Toyota's Japan website at www.toyota.co.jp to see what's in store for current Lexus models. You won't get new information that far in advance, but every once in a while you'll find something that finds its way here.
It's also fun seeing navigation offered on RAV4's and Corolla's.
Tip:
LX model : Land Cruiser Cygnus
RX model : Harrier
ES model : Windom
LS model : Celsior
IS model : Altezza
SC model : Soarer
GS model : Aristo
