Resurrecting the LED possibilities...

Look at these... OEM 06+ style which specify 98-02 only...

Am I going to have to take one for the team to check 'em out?

i'd be careful with that, aedington. from the pics, it looks like the tailgate lamp has a pretty steep slope to it (especially from the back view), which would mean you would need a new tailgate assembly from an 03+. maybe its just me though.

Ack, not yet, but I will.

This month's bs money went to HIDs for her car, and some Invision DVD headrests that I really just couldn't resist. $499 for a new pair... STOLE THAT!
