Hello,

Need 4 new tires for my 2006 LX470 (44K miles). The current tires that are on my sporty is P275/60R18. I have seen some comments about purchasing the tires online. Is it cheaper to buy from tirerack and then how do I install them. Do I take it to the dealer or NTW or some other place for installation. Do I need to get it balanced, rotated and/or remounted. Please advise.

Also do I need to buy Michellin or some other brand. Not too technical and any help is appreciated.

Go to the tirerack site and find some tires you like and get a price on the set. Then find a local discount tire company I see you are in GA they should have stores in your area. Discount will match their price and they do good work. That's how I get my tires and they have top of the line equipment and competent tech. Good luck.

tirerack drops them off at your house like any package you get, you could also ship it to a nearby tire shop instead so you dont have to lug it around. The tire shop will do all the mounting, balancing during the install. OEM tires on this vehicle arent that good, which is true for most OEM tires of any vehicle

some well rated tires on tirerack, the michelins are significantly more expensive than the yokohamas though. Best thing to do is print out a price from tirerack of a full set of tires + road hazard + shipping, places like discount will make a competitive price for you. This way you will have a road hazard warranty from a physical tire store. Tireracks road hazard is actually quite good for an online tire shop, but it isnt the same as a real tire place
