Bought myself a 97' LX450 - Finally!!
Finally I bought myself a mint 1997 LX450 with 109K miles for $10K - few questions:
1. Did I pay too much for it?
2. It does not have the lockers - can I install these? - what are my options and how much should I be looking to spend?
3. It has the ugly aftermarket stereo - can I install the factory stereo from 95-97 LS400?
4. What would you do, if any, to this vehicle - aftermarket assessories - I'm thinking about the weather guard on the windows, maybe to front grill guard with driving lights.
5. What are maintenance requirements on this LX450 with these many miles?

Congrats, great score. After all these years is is still one of the nicer looking SUVs around.
I would check the services history, and do whatever is required by the book. Changing oil and may be transmission fluid, coolant are safe things to do.
I would not add bars, screens etc personally. I'd actually remove those added things that are on right now, the vehicle looks cleaner without it. It is really hard to find stuff that is useful and looks good too

Wow...it looks like you got a gem there! It looks in real good condition...whether you pay too much for it or not does not matter if the vehicle is in great shape. You bought it already...it's too late to 2nd guess it!
I heard that installing the factory lockers can be a chore. I would just get ARB lockers (arbusa.com).
Here is a very helpful site for you: http://www.sleeoffroad.com/newbie/newbie100.htm
BTW, are those Michelin LTX A/T tires?? If so, then they are pretty good tires.
Congrats.
