Ok so heres the deal, we parked our lx for about 5 days since my mom is using the es, its been parked outside and its a little cold. but today when she wanted to start itup, there was a slight hesitation before the motor started then it spiked to 200 rmp, thenwent back to normal. after that we turned of the car, waited about 5 seconds, and the car started a little below a 100 rmp. idk if maybe the engine isn't getting enough air and gas. but i am not sure, mechanics is not my thing. anyone else have this issue? should i just let it run and warm up/ or just avoid turning the car on at all? hope this makes sense

That sounds normal to me.
It takes a 2 or 3 minutes depending how cold.
Here in Florida very few days a years it drops below 40F , but I let my LX470 idle for a few minutes till I see the temperature gauge move up.
Yes, let the car warm up.

yeah, mine does the same too, especially in the morning. what you could do is let it warm up for a bit, or drive it slowly/lightly until the engine warms up.
i usually just take off slowly and go easy on the gas for like the first 5 miles, then drive it like i stole it

Bunch of pansy a$$ pu$$ies on here with 40F below worrying about warming up your 4.7l...
What I do know is...I live in Canada with 0 F everyonce in a while and it is freezing...I start up the 4.7 and off I go.....heat at about 2 miles and temp is fine as it started to move while overdrive gear finally kicks in...170k later and everything is fine...haven't changed a thing....
No need for warm up...
