Well let me justsay the lx is a wonderful truck in fact and INCREDIBLE truck, we drove from buffalo New york to Trenton New jersey going 75 just about the whole way, except when we got caugth in traffic on the 81, and got 18.6 mpg, i dont know how and i won't ask questions, but while here we saw the best looking gx we have ever seen the color is blue meridian and while i have always liked the color i have never seen it in person. Now we have talked of getting rid of the lx for a while, but have liked it to much, and even turned down a new porsche cayenne for it, but it is coming up in miles and well rust unfortunetly, so heres a link of the gx, we will pass by it tommorow, could you imagiane buying a car while on vacation and leaving home with one car and coming back home in another haha

I would see if you can try and find an unsold Lx470 2007 model or one with very low miles and get another Lx

I think that you will miss the LX if you went to GX.

Where is rust on your '01 LX??

rear tailgate, and we know a few people who have made a switch over we know who are quite happy, but as much as we liked this car, it was drivien by someone who worked in nyc so it was quite dinged up and can you lieve this they only offered up 8 GRAND for our lx, 8, its fully loaded and the rust is not even not that bad and not noticeable unless you open the tailgate, we are now back home and will go to our leus dealership and see if they will locate a blue gx for us 2005+ with lower miles, also they offered us 17 for our lx as long as it doesnt have about 100k, now has 97, so the search continues, although we did test drive it and was quite impressed, we tried to find an lx but they are just way to hard to find with the specs we want and my dad really wants to get a car in the area, only looked at that gx because we were visitng family in the area and discovered it when i went to autotrader to look up an sc i saw on a small used car lot for 7 grand.

I've had mine since 1998, after owning a TLC80 and G320 for a few years. Have been comparing to all the other different options on the market, including the GX470 and LX570.... and ended up with an LX470 2006 again. It just turned out that the 470 fits the bill 100%, while others miss a mark or two (all subjective of course). Never had any other vehicle for more than 3-4 years before.

Well its been about 3 months, and i am 97 percent sure we are ridding of the lx for a gx. Exhaust manifold 1800 dollars, 90k checkup, 1000 dollars, and probably something else, about another grand. Its a great truk, but we figure with all the money we are putting into this one, we can get a newer low mileage gx. We will see

FYI. The GX uses the same engine.

90k checkup, 1000 dollars
FYI. The GX will have the same timing belt change interval at 90k.

^^^^ I no but if we are buying a newer gx with 20k miles on it with newer technology, it's worth it. Even if we lease, it would still be worth it
