Default Ipod Integration

I own a 2003 LX470 that I want to integrate with my ipod. I have the ML system with Nav. I've talked to the guys at the VAIS store and they can't verify their system will work in the 03. I've search the forums as well but can't find any real conclusive data.

Can anyone here verify that it will in fact work with a 2003 and comment on the quality of this product. Also, it appears there are other systems out there (via crutchfield) but I am looking for lexus user reviews. Thanks in advance.

That was a great question ewinder2! I looked at the VAIS chart for applications and our '03 was noticably missing. I'm glad 1loudlx cleared that up.

Just a quick update. I just installed the SL2i-UP and things seem to be working fine. The one thing I am a little dissappointed in is the lack of visibility into the playlists. I can visibly see the playlist name and the artist name, but not the song name. I'm still getting use to it still and probably ahve more to learn. Hopefully I can figure it out...
