Default Possible HID fog light problem?

Just installed an o-nex 3000k fog light kit into my truck and I have some questions about it. How yellow is this kit supposed to be? All the pictures I have seen have super yellow but mine are really pale. Also, my passenger side bulb has a different color to it all together with a rainbow like effect depending on what angle you look at it. Do I have bad bulbs?

Here's two pictures:

have you ever replaced the lens/projector?

i've also tried some 3000k hid bulbs and wasn't too impressed. it seems that they use a coating to get the yellow color instead of a gas combo, so unless each bulb is coated exactly the same way, they will appear different in shade from the other one.
the rainbow effect is something you'll get because of the coating, but it shouldn't actually look like a rainbow on the road, only to the eye. additionally, the foglights are projectors right? if so, that willalso cause a multi color effect at various angles of view.

19psi, the fogs are projectors but the rainbowing effect is definitely apparent when driving from inside the car...it actually shows a reddish spot on the road (see pic) and the other bulb is now a green tint when it is on. I am starting to feel like I have some really bad bulbs but I don't know whether I should contact the company or try and get another set of bulbs from another location.

The reddish area in the pic is the lighting the passenger bulb gives off from the left side.

that's really weird. it shouldn't happen like that. are you sure the bulbs are seated properly in the housing. I've had that happen before with those H1/H3 bulbs because they're kinda hard to manipulate in those tiny housings.
pull the bulbs out and compare the coating on them. they should look the same if you hold them up to a light and look through the bulb.

Yeah they're in they correctly, i'm really particular about it and with those there is only one way to have them seated right...if I bought a vinyl cover that was yellow would that help with the yellow coloring?

That's what I thought so I'll avoid those...I may just return them cause now one has blown and will not work.

so the saga continues, the bulbs worked perfectly for a couple days then they both quit, then one decided to work again but the other wouldn't come on. I decided to buy a relay in case it was a stock wiring problem. I followed the directions exactly and now neither will come on. I can hear the relay clicking but no lights.

that's weird. do you have power and ground to the ballasts? if you do, it sounds like you have a warranty problem and they need to get you replacement parts.

yeah it should have good power, I have the positive wire hooked up to the positive terminal and the negative wire hooked to the neg terminal (would it be better if I hooked it to a screw on the body?)

Should I be looking to replace just the relay or relay and HID kit?

should is the key word there. without actually testing with a voltmeter, you really have no idea.
are you saying you setup a relay system to run the circuit fo rthe lights, basically making it's own circuit except using hte original positive of the foglight circuit as the trigger for the relay?
grounding doesn't matter really, either the neg. terminal or the body is fine. i go to the body becuase it's usually easier than running long wires to the negative. the long ground wires can cause a probelm also.
i've found that hid ballasts are espeically sensitive to battery voltage. your batter and charging system must be in top notch condition or the ballasts won't light the bulbs.
