static sound in speakers when playing dvd player on the road
The dealership installed the dvd screen last week and this past weekend we took a road trip where I played several movies. While on the road, we can hear static (white noise) from the speakers while the movie is playing every now and then. Initially it was very strong until I realized the antennae was all the way up since we had to have the radio set to 89.1 FM to hear the movie from the car speakers. After I pressed the button to put the antennae down, the vast majority of the static was removed but we still hear it occasionally since the antennae is not going all the way down. It is 95% down but not down all the way (meaning a little bit is still sticking out from near the hood) since it is tuned to 89.1 FM.. Is there a way to fix this or do I have to live with this occasional static. Funny thing is that it is clear every now and then but the static does come back.. Could changing the station setting to anther station fix this or since the antennae is somewhat up, static is one thing that will continue to be there?
