Do any of you have pics of your LX470 towing a boat, trailer, camper, etc? I've tried Googling it, but haven't had any luck. I've got an '03 and I believe the towing cap is 5000lbs. My wife and I were thinking about buying a boat, but before we did we want to see if any CL members have pics of their LX in action!
Many thanks!

go over to IH8mud.com and look under the 100 series section.
your towing capacity is 6500, but I've towed over 8K with out any problems.

and here are just some random cool pictures of the 100 series

Just what I was looking for, thanks! I don't know how I missed those threads, I was over at ih8mud and probably just got overwhelmed. This guy towing his boat in post #8 is exactly the setup we're thinking of: http://forum.ih8mud.com/100-series-c...r-6500lbs.html
Thanks again guys,

our boat is 5500 lbs dry, with fuel gear and camping equipment (longer trips) we tip the scales at about 7K and both our cars 96 landcruiser and 00 lx470 tow it with out a problem. But if I was to compare the LX470 does it easier and with less strain.
Just make sure all your maintenance is done and your rig will impress you everytime

Don't have any pics, but have pulled our 21' Mako Bay Shark with 225 Mercury Optimax, 26' trailer with no problem. Boat, motor, gear and filled with fuel about 5000lbs., no problem. In and out of a slippery and steep ramp a block away from house. Dragged to the Keys a couple times as well. I will try to take a pic the next time I hook it up.
1loud is absolutely correct about the 5spd. Better fuel mileage.
