I am looking at buying a 2002 LX 470 with 99K miles on it. It has Nav, ML Sound, and I *think* a rear DVD (I need to confirm that), oh and the exterior color is white, interior is tan.

I should be able to negotiate a price of between $17,500 - $17,950

What do you think?

That I do not know for sure, but my guess would be probably, No.

The vehicle is not a private party sale, it is at a smaller local dealer. They probably bought it from the PA auction, it *may* have been a fleet vehicle, I am trying to get more info.

Get the Car Fax and check the service history, how many owners and ? accidents.

As it is a Lexus, if it was serviced at a Lexus dealer, you should be able to call any Lexus dealer, give them the Vin number, and have them print you service records.

I just bought the same (only mine has 140K miles).

-Check that every device works, up/down body lift, side mirrors, radio, antenna, lights, seats, ect....
-Timing Belt should be done around 90K.
-Check for rust at all seat bolt down locations (including rear third row).
-Smoke Free?
-Car fax is only as good as info given. Most dealers will print one for free.
-Mechanical check? Brakes, trany, steering?
