I read somewhere that someone had paid around $55,000 for a new 2001 LX last year when the 2002 model was coming out. What are the changes that I can get this kind of price again this year with the 2002 model? Does Lexus always give some kind of incentives at each of it's model year?

Come Oct, Nov and Dec the dealers are practically giving them away to make room for all the new 03 inventory. If not just ask to borrow the keys to one and drive off the lot with it . I am sure they will not notice or care it has gone onto greener pastures.

I am a little concerned it seems that Lexus has reduced production of 2002 LX due to the current economic climate. There are not that many LXs on dealer's lots. The last time I was in the dealership, they didn't seem very eager to deal and basically saying they don't have one in stock and I have to order and pay pretty much MSRP for it. Since Lexus doesn't have too many left-over LXs they may not give out too much incentive.

They actually average 800+/- a month. Call Ray Catena Lexus in Northern Jersey, he's got a lot of Lexus Vehicles, probably the best in NJ or even the tri-state area.
SharpLS said it right when he was talking about the 2003 model change. Why not search for a used 2001 with 10-15K miles, low $50's to high $40's.
