I have a 1999 Lexus Lx470, and am interested in adding the Lexus DVD Nav found in my 2001 Ls430 and other 2000- present Lexuses. I love the DVD Nav, and I am wondering if I can get the same setup in my Lx470.

I am assuming that I can't, so would something like this be any good?

Here is the problem. It is very expensive to change the existing radio system into the Lexus DVD Navigation. You would need to buy the touch screen display, new AC controls, the DVD changer that is included with the system, the DVD navigation unit itself, plus a new controller unit that controls the whole thing. It would be like 10 grand easy. The unit you had linked to is only the DVD navigation unit from Alpine. You still need to buy a head unit that interfaces with it. I think the CVA-1000 or CVA-1005 is also needed. PLUS you have to bypass the audio system to make it work. OR you can by a seperate monitor and have it installed next to the dash somewhere and add the Nav unit. That would be the best way to go. Your still looking at about $2,000 though.
