First Lexus lx470
Hi all,
I am pretty excited. I just picked up my first LX470 today. It is a 2008 with 82k on it. It is black with grey interior. It seems clean and runs great as probably expected from this vehicle. The only flaw I have noticed is a bad stereo speaker. It looks like the timing belt was changed around 72k miles already so that's nice. I got rid of a 2008 expedition limited for this. Just couldn't get comfortable in the drivers seat of the expedition. Such is not the case with this truck. I am hoping to get at least another 120k out this truck. I have only had it a couple hours but so far I love it, and look forward to many years with it. If anyone has any advice or information about this truck please let me know. Thank you all in advance.

congrats! I have a 2006 LX and I love it! Had the dvd added for the long road trips for the kids and they love it as well! Very smooth on the highways and easy to handle in city traffic!

Congrats on your LX470! I too had an Expedition among other vehicles and my LX470 is the best hands down. This is the best SUV on the market in my opinion. I have to admit, there is only one flaw I see with the LX470 models and that is the poor gas mileage.
The LX470 is built like a tank and weighs like one too. This is my second LX470 and I will always be an LX470 owner. When properly maintained, they will last you 400+ miles if not more. Why did I buy an LX470? Best reviews on the market and safety for my family.

I have to say I agree, this truck does feel like a tank. The gas mileage is bad but compared to the expedition it is not much worse. I know I have only had the truck a few days but I love driving it. I lucked out. Whoever had it before me replaced the timing belt, water pump and a couple other things at 72k. I took it to the local lexus dealer today and discussed all of it with them. They actually looked up the vin and found all of that information for me. The only thing that they told me was a flaw of this vehicle is the brakes because of the size and weight of the truck. He did mention that brake jobs could get expensive if the bearings needed to be repacked. I am looking forward to many years of enjoyment from this truck. I am glad to have become a lexus owner.
