Default Lx470 (1998-2003) Roof Rack End Cap

My luggage roof rack end cap either blew off or came off in a car wash. I need right front (or left rear is identical).

My color is taupe, but I can repaint.

Please copy response to my email

Is there a part number written anywhere on it/inside? Have you tried calling the dealers around you and describe it to them and see if you could order it?

Quick question about this part -- does anyone know how it actually secures to the vehicle? I was about to purchase one for each side of the rear of my vehicle and wasn't sure if I needed additional hardware or parts to secure.

Thanks!

David, each cap has 2 round sheet metal parts with "teeth" inside and outside. You seat those into the rack mount and plastic columns on the cap seat into them. The cap goes on at about a 45 deg angle relative to the roof. Pull one off the truck and you'll see what I mean.

Thanks Steve. Unfortunately, I don't have either rear covers on my vehicle so I'll just go ahead and order -- I'm sure I can figure the rest out!
