I recently purchased a 2006 lx 470 with a rear OEM DVD in the back right quarter panel and flip down monitor. The DVD remote did not come with the vehicle. It did come with the headsets. The rear DVD accepts the movie, but nothing happens after putting the DVD in.

I heard a universal remote could work, but not sure of the codes to try and use. I tried Panasonic and pioneer codes but the system remains off.

Any tips on how to address? What brand codes ?

is there any way to power the system without the remote so I can tell its getting power and works?

Stop by the dealer - I'm sure a friendly Lexus employee will grab a remote and test it for you.
