First Toyota/Lexus
Just purchased a 1998 Lexus LX470 ..... never owned this Brand before.... Given its age I am very impressed with both features for its time & engine performance (I have owned numerous V8's over the years).
I find it very suitable for the conditions here in Cambodia where I live. Parts are easy to come by & inexpensive. It's a strong truck & built to last which is great in my environment & given they are not cheap (100%+ import duty into Cambodia.
My LX is Black with the grey skirt. I had it wrapped in clear to protect the paint & the grey skirt wrapped in Black which, for me, adds to its stance.
Came with the standard features od reverse lights, Sunroof, Rims, My additions reverse camera, Dash screen, upgraded head lights, Car Wrap .

Picking it up on Tuesday. Immaculate inside and out with full service records. All the typical (and not so) checkboxes have been checked, and it seems ready to go. Can't wait!
My (new to me) 2005 LX470, Sand Dollar Pearl, 151000 miles. I'm excited!

Hi, I'm Vivi from Nashville and Maine. Just purchased a new to me 2003 LX470, looks like vapor blue (?) with grey interior. It has a few problems, but they're fixable (imho) and I know the history of this vehicle. Will probably leave in Maine for winter use, as I have a 100 series Land Cruiser (2002 but I've turned it into a Unicorn) in TN. This will be the 3rd 100 series I've owned. I don't wrench, but thanks to the forums, I can at least understand what is going on.

Hey all! New LX 470 owner here. Just bought a 2000 in cashmere beige metallic. It’s been modified with Dobinsons suspension, SCS rims, Borla exhaust (Doug Thorley headers not installed yet). Hope to check some mods from others and learn more about this beast!😬

We can't let a full year go by without an intro! I'm Josh. I have a 2006 LX470 and a 2000 Toyota Land Cruiser. I've owned and sold a 1989 FJ62 and a 1974 FJ40. I've been on IH8MUD since 2007 and wanted to do a little more research on Lexus specifics. All help is appreciated as I move forward!

I own a 2004 LX470 with pearlescent exterior and biscuit interior and with rear spoiler and Levinson sound system and navigation package.
Though now 18 years old the vehicle is in “as new” condition, inside and out, and never damaged. This will likely be the last car that I will
ever own as it is in my opinion the best designed, engineered and manufactured vehicle that has been produced during my lifetime.
My interest is in maintaining the vehicle in perfect condition and fully understanding it’s various mechanical systems.
I have the vehicle in south Florida

Hello from Michigan!
New to the forums, wanted to introduce myself. I just picked up a 2004 LX470, Sand Dollar Pearl with Tan interior. Fortunately the previous owner kept it original (Mark Levinson with Navi) and he had the AHC delete done with LC coil-overs so I'm very happy with the truck and quality.
One issue I'm trying to figure out: P0420 Catalyst system efficiency below threshold Bank 1. Previous owner had it diagnosed at Lexus dealer and they suggested replacing cat(s). Not sure I am ready to do that and was hoping you could possibly recommend some things to try before we go that route. Also, if someone can tell me if Bank 1 is driver side or passenger side I'd greatly appreciate it. Will get looking underneath to see if anything obvious is wrong but would appreciate any advice you could offer.
Thanks & I'm looking forward to getting more involved here.
Happy New Year!

New to Club Lexus, Existing owner of 1999 LX 470
Hi all, Just a brief introduction- I need several posts and to be a member for 14 plus days before I can post my 1999 LX 470 for sale in the classifieds. (I agree with the rules, btw). I'm the second owner of my 1999- purchased it in 2009 with 65K miles. Now it has around 240K miles. All stock equipment, original AHC suspension still works great and has never failed me. Incredible ride on and off-road with that suspension. Last flushed about 20K miles ago. T/A KO2 tires turn this thing into a beast off-road. I go into serious off-roading only once per year, and the LX 470 with KO2s get the job done. It will be sad to see it go, but I just purchased a GX 460, so happy to stay with Lexus. California car. Cosmetics are mediocre but whoever buys this will want it for off-roading anyway. Engine is just a baby with 240K miles. Timing belt and water pump changed at 110K miles and again at 210K miles. Engine is ready for another 240K I would imagine. Not officially for sale, yet but once I do sell it, it will be the end of an era for me. These early LXs are awesome.
