Overseas, the GX 470 is the Land Cruiser
Hmmm, so I am seriously thinking the next LX 470 will be Tundra based, making it much bigger. Overseas the LandCruiser looks like the 4-runner from the outside (with headlights like the ES 300) but the interior is from the GX. And instead of wood, they have aluminum panels.
The Tundra should have a larger V-8 engine soon to battle it's power shortcomings. This engine should make it to the new LX 470.

Well
This has been brought up a few times already.. but yes, overseas the GX470 is the new Toyota Land Cruiser. Rumors have been around that the next LX or Rumored name VX will be based on the Tundra platform.. which makes it a new Sequoia derivative. Only time can tell. LX470 and Land Cruiser are currently schedule to run through the 2005 model year I believe.

there are some other variations of the LandCruiser family found in the Middle East, Far East, Africa and Pacific Rim countries. But these once are where it all those derivatives come from.

To Richie
just a note: the TLC80 was the previous generation for what now is called the TCL100 and the Cygnus. Stopped production in 1997. What you are likely to see being sold nowadays is the TCL (Prado or 90) and the TLC100.
