Default Help: 2002 with 120k mile

Hi

I am looking at buying 2002 lx with 120k mile? It asked 10k $.

I am wondering if 120k mile is too much? What thing I need to watch for when doing inspection? And what problem i will expect to have ? How many mileage it can still run for? Is it worth 10k$?

Thanks for your help . I appreciate it.

I think 10k is an ok price. Check if the timing belt has been replace , ask the owner for service record, check carfax . I got mine a few months ago for 15k. 1 owner , all service record, 77k on the clock, clean carfax . But 8 had put 1g in it for the timing belt . Otherwise , the vehicle I have ever owned.

The biggest item to look out for this the AHC - Height control. Make sure the vehicle goes up and down when you push the switch. The vehicle will automatically return to N - normal height when you exceed 19MPH.

The Lexus LX and Toyota Land Cruiser are typically rated amongst the most reliable cars you can buy.

In perspective I was/am considering a 2004 with 101,000 miles for $24,995 It had it's timing belt/waterpump/etc. surgery 3000 miles ago and is loaded with every option available at the time. Gorgeous too, but I think the price is too high.

An 02 for $10k is a steal...I'm just starting my search and I can barely find a Land Cruiser (cheaper LX variant) for $10k and that's a 1999-2000 model....hope you bought it!
