This is from the June issue of Automobile Magazine
"Leaders of the new Afghanistan will be pleased that the Toyota Land Cruiser is the recipient of a complete redo. Little is known about Toyota's king of the road other than that its styling will be inspired by the recent FJ cruiser concept, unveiled at this year's Detroit show."
So the Land Cruiser will live on, in contrast to earlier speculation by much of the press. So, this can only mean that the LX will live on as well!

That's not the new LX
There are no pictures of the next LX or the Land Cruiser. It was simply stated that the next Land Cruiser may be influenced by the style of the concept car pictured above. I will assume Lexus will only continue to distance its model from the Toyota model.
