Default 2003 LX 470 - Lift Kit & Air Suspension

Hello All - I am in the process of having a LX 470 I just purchased lifted modestly given there was an issue with the shocks/suspension that necessitated replacement (and the cost of the lift through my friend/dealer was roughly the same as replacing the shocks without fully fixing the air suspension system).

My question is, in putting the lift on, they are going to pull out the full air suspension system given it won't serve a purpose after the fact -- however, does anyone know if the ride selection (i.e. comfort to sport) still works? May be a dumb question but thought I would ask.

Thanks.

Thumbs down

A. The LX suspension is HYDRAULIC, NOT PNEUMATIC.

B. What you seem to think is an air suspension also controls the ride sensing part of the suspension. So, NO, you won't have Comfort to Sport settings in the future.

C. Without judging the relative dumbness of the question, I'd suggest you get an owner's manual from the owners' section of lexus.com and educate yourself. Lots more info on AHC and anything else you are interested in on the 100 series forum of ih8mud.com
