2785/75/16 too big for 2001 lx470?
Hi all,
I'm new to this forum. I am buying a 2001 lx470 and need to replace the tires. I plan to buy michelin ltx 285/75/16 because I want to have taller tires. Are they going to be too big for the stock wheels and suspensions?
Thanks guys

Afaik, the absolute largest no-rub size is 295-75 and a very tight fit. More info here, and also a good place to register...https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/wha...o-lift.263259/

I am currently running my second set of street wheels on my 07 with the 98-02 16's and 265/75/16 Michelin LTX Defenders. Ride is substantially better than it was with the stock 18's and 275/60/18 Michelin Latitude tires.
I went a size narrower and taller sidewall for street driving for improved fuel economy/lower rolling resistance but plan on doing 285/75/16 for my third set of wheels that will have KO2s on them. You're perfectly fine with that size.
