Default Timing belt on low mileage

Hi,

I have 2002 with 80k moles. Do I need to replace timing belt now?

Thanks

After 16 or 17 years, you're looking at very old rubber...it's a lot like tires. Normal service interval is 90K and you're only 10K away from that.

If it were mine, I'd keep an eye on anything made of rubber on the engine or connected to the engine.

You're welcome.

I agree with handkinid. Planning to do a completed timing belt accessories including a water pump on my LX with only 65k miles. Yes, the belt is still look brand new.

Do not miss replacing the heater hose T's...passenger side, 2 T's close to the firewall...they're known to eventually self-destruct.

Not a matter of "if" but "when"...
