Removing whale tail spoiler 2005 lexus lx470

I've seen a few options but have never done this to mine. May depend if theres any captive nut still inside there to attach a bolt to, but I know some folks will simply get a 6mm bolt to screw back in and seal with silicone. There's also a company you can google called Bumper Plugs that make body color plugs for exotic cars with no front bumper that fill the holes where a license plate was mounted. Another option are those expandable rubber bung type bolts where they expand as you tighten them, should fill the hole and prevent water ingress. Finally, you could even go to the section of the auto store that sells various body plugs, see what fits and looks good to your eye and seal with silicone, perhaps even paint with touch up paint to match. That would be very close to the Bumper Plugs option but cost quite a bit less if you already have the touch-up paint or buy the auto store version instead of the dealer paint pens.
