Source for Aftermarket Hood Bug/Stone Deflector?
Hello all...I have a 2003 LX 470, and I am looking for a source for a bug/stone delfector for the hood.
I would prefer not to have to do any drilling....any body know of an aftermarket source for this item?
Thanks,
Alan

It depends on what you are looking for. If you want the black mask then buy one from the dealer for $175.00 w/tax. If you want a clear mask like the one I recently purchased then check out the following sites and search for a dealer near you.
http://www.xpel.com
http://www.stoneguard.com
http://www.digishield.com
All are good products and use the 3M film. I would not trade it for the black mask.

I do like the clear bra's better. Especially if it is just for chip protection rather than reducing the bug splatter on the windshield. I have used the "stongard" brand clear bra on an different Porsche I previously owned that was extremely low to the ground and it worked beautifully. I had to point out to people that it was on the car as most didn't even notice it! I will be ordering the clear protection for the headlights this week as a matter of fact. I found them for around $53 shipped for the headlights, foglights and signals! When I bought the LX the PO had a chipped headlight which I told the dealer they would have to repair at their cost to make the sale. They told me it was well over $400 out of their pocket for that one light alone so the $50 seems like money well spent at this point!

Tad,
I would say that you were correct in your assumption on the bug shield but, in my opinion, they take away from the LX. It's okay if that's someone's preference but I couldn't bare the thought of putting the big bulky black bra on the LX much less a deflector shield.
Once again that's my opinion.
