I live in the mountains in CO, so I need something rugged, reliable, and cheap (~$20k + $5k-$10k for repairs) while still being family-sized, a little bit luxurious and capable of handling a 2,000-mile road trip if need requires. So, a 2nd gen seems to fit the bill perfectly. Plus, they’re really cool. I generally drive about 7,000 miles a year.

What should I look out for when trying to buy one? Maximum mileage I should look for? Are there any reputable places to buy good ones online?

Any advice on this is greatly appreciated.
