Default Question on the TRD SC plus some others

TRD Supercharger is my vote as well. LX 2001.

Is there anything else we should do to the trucks to take the SC on; TRD says 'No' but I keep thinking the exhaust system might need a bump up in capacity.

If you take the truck where there is not premium gas, does regular hurt the system?

Any problems taking it off-road? or in some other way?

And lastly, how can I access the TRD catalog from Japan. I can only find the US listings which do not have the sway bars. Plus my dealer is pretty much lost on this. Great guys and all, but I am their only customer which plays this way with the LX.

Thanks for forum.

****,

Sorry, I didnt keep the Toyota p/n when my Japan TRD sways got here this summer. Call Jeff Watson at Jay Marks Toyota 8003272087 and get the part number. That is who imported mine....~6-8 week wait. Or get the part number from Jeff and order them from whoever. No plugs.......thats how I got mine.

Default Thanks and follow-up

Dave,

Thanks for the very fast turn around. I will call him once we all learn what the bulk-buy comes back with a decision.

A couple of questions about the sways.....

First, on the first two (softer) settings of the suspension, how do they affect the ride?

Second, if you do go off-road, how much do they affect axil articulation? My point goes to the necessity to remove sways to better keep all four on the floor during transiting large dips and peaks.

Guess there is a third question... Did you move to different bushings?

Thanks.

****,

Well, I can give you my thoughts...

The ride is still soft in the soft settings of the shocks. However, you still have the improved roll control of the sways if you take corners in the soft setting.

Well, it depends on your meaning of off road? I do take this LX in the back country of Colorado from time to time and that involves some jeep road sections and tough ditch crossovers to get to some camping spots in the backcountry...we have a high lift Casita trailer that we take all over the state. The sways have no harsh effect on transition maneuvers in my case.

Bushings come with the TRD sways.
