Hi all,

I'm on the hunt for a 2013-2015 LX. I think the interior has held up exceptionally well for being ~15 years old design, except for the steering wheel. I know it's a small thing, but the buttons on the wheel and the plastic used frankly reminds me of my dad's base model Camry when I was growing up.

I was wondering if there is an easy swap possible with another Lexus model steering wheel? For example the equivalent year LS has a much nicer looking wheel, and so does the RX.

And before you judge me, this isn't a deal-breaker that's going to stop me from buying an LX . I just want to see if there's a way to improve the one thing I don't like about the interior.

Try the IH8MUD site. Folks there are way more hands-on and innovative than here. I recall reading some threads there about swaps but cannot recall details.

Somewhere I also recall seeing that almost all Toyota steering wheels are interchangeable if you do some re-pinning. I would not surprise me if that were not also true for Lexus.

90% of the Toyota wheels will bolt on w/o issue. You need to find similar functions / button count & the same type air bag.
