I am buying a RZ450e, and it is already ordered. i plan to trade in one of my current Lexus vehicles - either my IS250C with 55,000 miles, or the same year LX570 with 85,000 miles. Both are ten years old, both bought new from the same Lexus dealership that I am buying the RZ from. Interestingly, the trade in is $23,000 for the ISC, or $28,000 for the LX570. I’d say both are in similar very good condition. What do you think? Are ten year old LX570’s just not attractive on the used car market?

 

tough choice.
i supposed it all depends on how you use your cars. IF you offroad, obviously you do not want to ding up that new RZ. probaby has poor ground clearance anyway. SO keep the LX

if you never go off road, and road trip a lot, well, and RZ is going to be fun locally, but finding charging stations will be a real pain for another two years or so. so keep the IS for long road trips. i might improve the interior with modern audio system that has apple car play

 

Easy answer to me...I'd keep the LX. Its value over the years won't decline like the IS.

Biff44 has some good suggestions.

 

The LX can be sold for more than the trade in value plus the sales tax benefit, if no accident and well maintained.

 

I have decided that the ISC will go. I am getting too damn old to easily get in and out of it.
