Nifty City’s 2016-2021 LX570 touchscreen CarPlay
I took the plunge & bought Nifty Cities touchscreen for the LX570.
It was around $1500.
they charge for the following:
1) technical help ~ $99 (be advised they’re only available from 11 pm - 6 am in America). It’s only thru WhatsApp.
They don’t have an install manual for this item. They will tell you that it will be sent once you pay; but it doesn’t exist (hence the reason I was forced to pay the $99).
2) wireless connection- $99
i had a professional car audio installer at my house at midnight two consecutive nights b/c I couldn’t make it work properly. Long story short; they were trying to troubleshoot their own unit on my car. They finally admitted this was the first one they ever sold to America.
I started the return process which is a nightmare. They require it to be packed a certain way with an unusual insurance type. They require you to send it UPS. The quote was $511 the slowest method of transport.
Again the unit is defective; but they won’t cover the return shipping.
issues with screen:
1) Bluetooth wouldn’t work
2) echo on calls
3) would t operate climate control
4) CarPlay would reset every 30 seconds
5) They sent 20 cables that are not necessary by their own admisssion (confusing)
6) the screen wouldn’t respond to touch 1/2 of the time.
I was the first sucker; I’m advising you to not be the second. It’s garbage & they’re trying everything to make me keep it.

OH that sux dude.... If u r looking into a big iPad / Tesla like screen to your LX, there are other more 'established' options.... I wonder if u ask for a return / full refund (as the product does not work as intended), will they accept it? Or if u call your credit card company to file a claim, will they (the card comp) get u a full refund? File a compaint with the BBB too...

what Tesla screen options are available on a ‘16-21? I can’t seem to find any legitimate options. Nifty city has great marketing, but they’re in the slums of China. They don’t care about anything but getting your $ initially. They have zero representation in America.
I asked them for a refund; they said they would refund the unit only (no shipping back which is $500 the way they want me to send it, pay for initial cost of shipping, no refund on their tech service or the wireless connection “option,” etc.
they try to weasel their way to making the cost of the return equal to the refund. They’re pretty bad. They have an excellent website & marketing, that’s why I’m sending the warning.

I selected the BeatSonic unit and am very happy with my choice. Tech support is responsive, they have installation videos etc. it is not a touch screen but it adds wireless/wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Others used cheaper than BeatSonic options and had success too.

I went to the website, it says factory touchscreen retained but my 2020 LX570 doesn’t have a touchscreen. They offer a Tesla style screen for the 2015 and earlier models and hit you up for the extras.
What unit did you purchase?

I think there's another user here on CL who installed Phoenix Automotive (tesla style screen) on his LX. (do notice there are some features that's not available / no longer work though but definitely not as many as Nifty's) .

I like to buy Chinese products because of their good prices. But considering the issue of returns, I usually ask them before placing an order what to do if I am not satisfied with the product and whether they can provide a return label.
I purchased a carplay module and an android screen from carputech(one of vendors of clublexus.com). There were no issues with the carplay module and they had a complete installation video and installation instructions for my reference.
I had a problem with my android screen and carputech sent me a paid return label and gave me two options: full refund or replacement with a new screen. I chose to replace the screen with a new one.
