Try Megazip, they are offering free shipping for 48hrs, just use FREE300. I have never seen this offer before and it is a GREAT deal. The offer may end today
Megazip is in japan and shipping is expensive but their prices are almost always much cheaper than a US Lexus Dealership. https://www.megazip.net
eBay is also a source for globes or anyone of the US dealer websites like lexuspartsnow. I’m just going to point out some caution in your plan. Right now you have a symptom, it might be worn globes or something more serious. You currently have a repair shop that cannot figure out the problem. Starting with the parts cannon and replacing parts is not really a good idea. If your repair shop cannot diagnose the problem with AHC, I do think it’s good to let them attempt a repair or disable the system. The main issue with AHC is to have someone who knows to system work on it. If it’s a simple problem it could be made worse. If you’re willing to invest the money in replacing the whole system, then you should look around for a mechanic that actually understands the system to work on it. They should at least be looking at Toyota TIS which has all the schematics and troubleshooting.
I spoke to the mechanics itself today, and he is saying I need to replace the accumulator, attached his estimate below, and he is saying just the rear accumulator, I am wondering if I can take his word and go for it? he also said the front is working fine.
Can I change just that globe or the full accumulator set pics above
It seems more reasonable to just replace the accumulator globes, other parts do not seemed to be replaced almost ever. That seems to be where almost all ride issues come from, with higher mileage. I think they should be replaced all at once since your cars age and mileage would dictate that but it depends on your budget. I think you have to make a decision. Essentially is this the same mechanic that could not figure out the problem or someone new. Does this person actually understand this system and know how to work on it?
I have no idea if the mechanic knows what he is doing. it is always the front office people talk to me not the mechanic, I managed to get his contact today he mentioned the accumulator and sent me the estimate, the vehicle is very bumpy looks like I have to take the chance and fix the accumulator or find another person that will be the third mechanic.
doesnt look that bad, but Im sure it will take some extra time to remove parts, especially the globes. I would still go for globe replacement, and must have a proper bleed and fluid flush to see if that solves your issue. I would think if any of the sensors were malfunctioning there would be codes stored. So if no codes, swap 4 new accumulators and see how it goes. Looks like the globes are different part number for front R/L and rear R/L
