does anyone know if lexus will offer two bucket seats in the 2nd row (e.g., as does the Cadillac escalade) as opposed to a bench style??

I hope they set the new LX apart from the competition. Everyone here seems to be wanting features on a Caddy or a Range Rover...i would rather see the LX be unique in some way.

i agree with that, but only to the extent that they are not sacrificing certain options that people are looking for. Heck, in my opinion, what sets them apart is their quality more than anything else.

I think you are right. Quality is the key, I don't care what RR or Cad offer since I don't think they are quality. Who gives a crap about # of cup holders as long as the ones it has are quality.

i have to admit, there are certain options i want to see on the 570 to make it more family friendly and a bit more fun to drive.

1.. larger engine (done)
2. more LATCH systems for car seats
3. fold flat seats 3rd row--2nd row would be a treat
4. 2 buckets in 2nd row

just to name a few
not looking for everything i want, but some would be nice

Looks like you might want to go to the show after all.

A fold flat 3rd row, like you want from Expedition/Navigator/GL450, generally requires an Independent Rear Suspension, which, I don't think Toyota/Lexus would do for an Off-Road biased SUV, in which case the Live Axle design, which it currently uses, has proven to be more capable/durable.

Just my thoughts.

Honestly I hope it will use the new 8-speed and not some 6-speed bs thats old. Honestly they have 8-speeds now why use 6-speeds.
