Here is a link to Lexus Saudi Arabia.

Xenon light and Cooler box are listed. It also comes with memory for the passenger. Not sure if you get that in USA

just back from the lexus southern area production meeting in las vegas, lots of good info there, thought i would share some about the 2008 lx with you all:

2008 Lexus LX570, estimated due in December of 2007. highlights include:

l-finesse styling, take the ls460 front end and put it on the lx, there you go.

HID with AFS headlamps

clamshell rear tailgate remains

still based on toyota land cruiser. the l/c sells (according to the numbers i was given in LV) 250,000 l/c worldwide. it's not going anywhere.

6-spd auto trans

optional 20" 10-spoke wheels

4 inches more interior room, with 1 inch more in the cargo area

7" touch nav screen

HDD nav as in the ls460 with capacity for music storage

mp3 compatible

power slide 3rd row seats - cannot be removed

8,000 lb towing capacity

400+ horses

adjustable height control suspension

african bubinga wood trim

remote start available

thats all i got for now. it looks good from the pics i saw. they are going away from the cladding all the way around to a sleeker look.

well now its going to be a true mall cruiser. Ill have to see how it looks on the outside, all the specs look good. But Ied rather keep my 470 if its going to look like **** on the outside.

what is it that makes you think "mall cruiser?" if it were based on the sequoia as the original speculation ran i would tend to agree with you. however, keeping it based on the l/c means it will continue to be capable of the off road performance l/c are known for throughout the world

the 20" wheels and the LS460 front.

Now i know i dont use mine offroad but the 470 definately has the potential offroad if i ever need it. I think the new LX will have a much larger gap between its landcruiser counterpart.

Sounds like they've decided their competition is the Escalade now instead of the Range Rover. Sigh.

Looks like our next vehicle will be a LS, and keep the old LX.

Cool

Wait seriously I'll check if the LX570 is going to be at the Detroit Auto Show cuz (you sukkas aint goin to it . I'll post pics of any cars new too.
Is anybody in CL that owns a LX going to the Detroit Auto Show? I go there every year and now I see some crapppy sedan that came back from the 70's that is "MADE IN CHINA".

Also is anyone going to trade their LX470s in for better resale value if the new LX is declared for production?

This is some very interesting information. The Land Cruiser is a platform for the world and after you have all the tooling paid off, Toyota makes a ton of money of these trucks. Likely more than the Sequioa.

remote start available
Very interesting that it will have remotre start. Seeing that there is no Toyota right now with remote start I guess this might be the first.

l-finesse styling, take the ls460 front end and put it on the lx, there you go.

clamshell rear tailgate remains
I kind of wished they would evolve the current styling as I think it is pretty cool as is.

They have to keep the rear tailgate clamshell design, the current truck is very high and I think that might be a reason.

HID with AFS headlamps
The current LX470 comes with HID, but not in the North American market.

[QUOTE][4 inches more interior room, with 1 inch more in the cargo area/QUOTE]

Will still likely be much smalle than the new Sequioa. I have heard that the new Sequioa may be a little too big for America.

8,000 lb towing capacity

adjustable height control suspension
8,000lb towing cap is not bad. That is more than the Escalade. I don't see many LX470 on the road towing anyway.

400+ horses
I wonder if this is the direct injection version of the 5.7 iForce.

power slide 3rd row seats - cannot be removed
Very strange, would like to know more. Will the seats fold flat?

I hope it pulls more than 8,000 pounds the Tundra going to do like 10,000 pounds.

Also I read somewhere TRD will have a supercharge for the 5.7L V8 Tundra, hopefully Lexus division for modifying will have something similar.

I hope too see a hybrid version, might give us a change against some monster horsepowered SUV's on the market.

One thing Lexus should offer for the LX and LS, armoring.

actually, you can add remote start as an option at the port on many different toyota models.

seats will not fold flat, but will stow up on the sides as they do now, but power

Remote start/2-way pager (like certain aftermarket systems)

Though only available for the JDM market currently. A few here are trying to find out if it will work with our spec cars.
