That's one very fugly rear. Why would they copy from the Lincoln Navigator, I don't understand.
The rest of the exterior is an OK evolution of the outgoing LX I guess. Thankfully, the beautifully crafted interior saves the day.
I don't see night vision mentioned anywhere in the PR. Did they take that out? That'd be a step backward if so.
Also, the PR says "A six-spoke 20-inch alloy wheel design creates a two-dimensional appearance that is sporty yet elegant." Where can we find pics of those six-spoke wheels? The ones in the current pics simply suck for an LSUV.

...look at the old and new wheelbase....
i was hoping it would be an all new platform, possibly on the next Sequoia, but Lexus decided the old Land Cruiser chassis was sufficient to just "update"....in other words was hoping something more revolutionary instead of evolutionary.

Powertrain and suspension seems all new, so pretty much new chasis there...

The proportion looks a little weird. The wheelbase looks too short for this thing.
IMHO the previous LX looks butch while the LX570 looks soft.
The overall design seems more luxury-oriented (and a little gaudy) than ever.
It reminds me of the Lincoln and Caddy. The rear end looks gaudy and the wheels look girly to me.
Perhaps Lexus has a more sporty SUV coming down the pipe ( VX or JX ??? ) and wants to differentiate the two
more clearly??? Love the interior though. I wonder if captain seats will be available for the 2nd row..
