Okay? And the Infiniti has birds-eye view while Lexus doesn't. Who cares? The point being made is that Infiniti is the first to debut this technology with the 360-degree birds-eye view of the car. I don't know how the LS460's Park assist got brought up into this and how Infiniti doesn't have it. Were getting off topic.

im going to be the first to say I like BOTH the interior and exterior, the design cues are similar to the 470, enlighten me to how its ugly
It could been worse it couldve been a navigator. I showed my mom the 570 and she said "I'll wait a few years to trade in my LX470, I want a used 570"

Maybe because the Cayenne and the VW Touareg share platforms?
The question about Porsche is, vaunted as they are, whether they are overpriced or not...?
And since it's clear the Cayenne is the worst Porsche so far as reliability goes...the SUV competition tips in Lexus' favor if you're doing a comparison on those terms. But then again the Cayenne is very different from an LX.
The LX has been out a few hours now...has anyone photoshopped this as a Land Cruiser?

The Interior is Cool, sharp. IMO, ...
The Gauge cluster should do away with those 4 small circles in the center. It draws your attention away from the Speedo and RPM.
The Center Dash Unit is pretty cool. They put the Air Vents on a slant toward the passengers. They also have a sharp edge to it, and blends in nice with the Display unit. Going toward the bottom, It looks pretty slick integrating the radio and etc... Maybe if it was on a slant more like the Escalade, it would have made it seem more sportier.
The Wood Grain in nicely done, not overdone like someone just bought an eBay kit.
The Interior Space - Wow! It looks like your in a Floating Palace.
Exterior - WTF was lexus thinking?
Well, I see where they wanted to have the aggressive front like the LS. But, it doesn't make that good of an impression because below the bumper is has soft lines. The lines from the grill go into the bumper which doesn't make it look sleek or aggressive. I think the should redo the front. An Aggressive stance is what will sell an SUV / truck, plus interior room.
I see how the tried to retain some of the old-school sculpture of the Land Crusier. Its ok, but to me, it makes it look cheap - like a high lander. Look at how the Range Rover has incorporated some of the same angles, but added some nice curves to complement the shape. Even when they changed to the sports edition.
The the rear lights - copied from a Navigator. Who said the navigator's rear looks good?
The only way this SUV looks good is with some big **** wheels. Lexus gets a "Downgrade" from me on this one.
07 LS - Thumbs Up
07 GS - Thumbs Up
07 ES - Thumbs Up
07 RX - Thumbs up
07 IS - Thumbs Up
08? IS-F - Thumbs down (so far as looks). Trying to compete with the M3 (BTW, a 2 door coupe), you're going to lose. Only lexus people will buy the IS-F. You will not convince M3 drivers to switch over.
08? GS-F - Undecided. A V-10 is good. But, all the BMW M cars handle well. The Cornering, stopping, etc... makes the car fun to drive. Upgrade the engine to compete in a straight line is good - but what makes a BMW fun to drive is how it handles!!!
All of the Hybrids cars that Toyota introduces are ahead of the game. Lexus will have the fastest production hybrid out there (reminds me of Benz having the fastest diesel). But, Lexus will build quality cars - but they will make mistakes. I think the new LX is a swing and a miss.
