Interesting concept....but a hybrid suv with that much power, give it 5+ more years before we see em on the road
You'll see it this fall in 300+hp Tahoe that can tow 6,000 lbs and achieve 20 mpg city, 25 hwy. Compare that to the gasoline only 13 mpg city, 19 hwy. A nice improvement in both fuel economy and environmentally friendliness. The drawback, a $5000 premium. The advantage, a tax credit.
By the time Lexus is ready to make a hybrid LX, Im willing to bet the technology will be further refined and cost less.
