I am planning on buying LX570 as soon as it becomes available. This is going to be my first time purchasing Lexus. I know that pricing info is not yet released, I was wondering when a new redesigned model comes out, just like LX570, how much discount do you think I can get?

If the price is $76000 with all options, do you think they will be willing 2 to 3000 off? Or does very very little mean 0 to a few hundred dollars?

you won't see 2-3000 off that truck anytime soon. you'll be lucky to pay less than sticker the first year.

sticker...many will have already been pre ordered anyways at sticker price

its a low volume car...so its not like they are in a crunch to get rid of them

From my experience, if you shop around enough, there's always room to haggle. 2K off from 80K truck sounds reasonable enough to me. I bought my IS350 as soon as it came out and I managed to get close to 3K off while a lot of dealers aren't willing to take off more than 1K.

You will probably say IS is high volume car, but IS are much higher in demand than LX.

Shop around, and I am sure it will paid off.

I'm curious to know how you decided to buy the LX without seeing or driving it and why you need to have it as soon as it comes out. I'm interested in the LX as well, but not commited without a test drive.

I can't remember my dealer ever having had more than 1-2 new LX's on the lot; Based on my recent experience with the GS and LS, I would expect the new LX to sell at MSRP as quick as the dealers get them for 3-4 months. If your lucky enough to live near a volume dealer, that time frame may be shorter. Not until you see one sitting on the lot for a while can you expect to get a discount.

As I recall, the new IS/ES models showed up by the dozens, and all that wanted one got one right off the bat. The GS and LS showed up 1-2 at a time for the first few months and were sold at MSRP before they even hit the lot; I would expect the LX to follow the GS/LS pattern.

You want the best deal on a car, it's easy.

Go to the car companies website and do a search for dealers in your state. Get their fax numbers and write up a small request.

Tell them you want their best price on a specifically specc-ed out vehicle in 72 hours.

Make sure it looks professional and has your contact information.

That's what we did for our 2004 X5 (right when the refresh on the E53 happened). Our local dealer didn't want to budge but we got under invoice at another dealer in Dallas.

We did it with our LX and we got a few grand off.

Not going to try it with the new LX570 though, turns out the local Lexus dealer is very competitive after you've bought a bunch of cars haha.

Good luck, trust me the LX570 is going to rock. We're going to get one once they are out.
