I am thinking of returning my 570 because of the lack of HIDs. I hate Lexus for screwing me over!

I'm right there with ya! I kept my receipt so it should be OK
I'm going to pick up an Escalade today, they have HID's.

drive a car and lets put a HID SUV at the traffic light behind you blazing in your rear view mirror, thats the reason why HID on an SUV of this size and height sucks

But it does wonders at night for the driver...IMHO, i care more about MY safety than that of my fellow humanoid.

I feel like theres no need for HID's on the 570. I think the lighting that is on right now is more than enough especially with the turning headlights (I'm sure there's an acronym I'm missing here)
I may install some bright driving lights for trips to the mountains but thats it.

Just installed an HID kit in the driving/fog lights of the LX. I had one which I took off the GX before selling it. I'm waiting on the arrival of the kit for the headlights. The light output of the stock LX570 lights is great but since I had one sitting around, i figured, oh well. I'll post pics once all is installed.

just get some retrofits done. GS,RX,or LS projectors if you still want to stick with lexus made.

i agree with Lexus on this decision

i often get blinded by pick up trucks with retro HIDs behind my car

regardless of how low they aim it, at their heights, it still blinds ppl in front

Hey Bit. I haven't been in the same thread as you in a LONG time - since the early days of CL in the GS forums. Good to hear from you.

I had to turn in the LX for a rattling 3rd row drivers side seat. THEY STILL HAVE IT! I'll keep you all posted on the HID install if I ever get the darn car back so I can play with it more. So far I'm happy with the HIDs in the fog/driving lights.
