if by premium you mean a markup or "market adjustment fee" Lexus is forbidden to do that, best they can do is fully load the vehicle and sell at sticker

I have heard multiple owners of 2008 Toyota Land Cruiser state the transmission is not as smooth and the engine is quite bit louder. I have a LX470 and think it is the smoothest and quietest automobile I have ever owned. I have a LX570 on order currently.
I have not pushed my new 570 to the limit yet, only 1270 miles at the end of today. I have applied full throttle on several occasions and it does not dissapoint! It is not a rocket by any means but after owning four LX470s, it is quite refreshing to have the extra hp. The transmission is smooth but responsive when you need it to be. The extra ponies means it will accelerate with little effort, my LX470 had to be coaxed at times, the 570 needs none!

Noise. If you want a vehicle that is as quite as your LX470, stick with your current vehicle. The 570 does have a "little" more engine noise when driving aggressive but much less tire and road noise at highway speeds. At 70mph, the LX570 is quiet! The cabin in more quiet than any of my LX470s. Handling and suspension are greatly improved.

The 570 is not the same as the 470! Two different machines for sure. I enjoyed the LX470 and it well behaved ride and performance but it is time for Lexus to move on. The LX570 has an "attitude"! After a little over a week, I am liking the 570 better! To each his own, but the "attitude" is fun!

There was no reduction in price. I have had a $5000 deposit on the unit for over 8 months to make sure I drove out with the first unit of my choice. Mine came fully loaded with the top of the line "package". The did not instll the remote start as they were having QC problems with the magic box. I was offered a refund of the opportunity to wait till the problem was resolved. They said it could be installed in only minutes as soon as they got the bugs worked out.

We are looking at in the over $90K range with all options and sales tax. The only consideration I was offered was what they gave me for my 2007 LX470 with 15k miles. They gave me way over Bluebook. They had a buyer for it before my 570 arrived!

And that is exactly what they are doing. The units are coming in fully loaded! I even had two sets of carpeting, front and rear!

My LX570 glass is tinted way darker than my LS460. I had a high end aftermarket tint applied to the LX460 windows and would never do it again! The 570 is dark enough for me!

Tint is one thing, but does it have privacy glass??? Privacy glass is darkened from the factory...it is dark glass. There is no film applied to it.

I would expect factory tinted glass, after all the RX has it. Or maybe we are talking about different degrees of tint?

No privacy glass.
No dark tint , just like the twin sister the LC 200 series.
I own a 2006 LX470 and it has the privacy glass.
On this new SUV we'll have to spend extra $$ to make them darker, I am looking into either 3M or Solarguard as soon as I can afford to buy the LX570.

I don't understand this...almost ALL SUVs have privacy glass, esp. those above $30-40K. My Sienna has it. My '02 4runner had it. My G has it. Even my '06 Highlander base V6 had it. The nice thing about privacy glass is that it never goes bad, never bubbles, never fade, etc..

Neither do I , they drop the ball a few more times.
I find the gasoline cap placement very inconvenient , it was moved to the passenger side.
Also those hideous 3rd road seat , I don't think they can be remove as easily as the previous models but I will try just the same.

The gas on the passenger side is common among Europeans cars. I don't think that you can remove the 3rd row seats at all.

I will have to wait till I get my own LX570 before I can pass judgement on the seat removal.
Why change the location of the gas cap ? This I don't understand.
