Let me clarify my position , I seldom turn the radio on, I drive with the windows down most of the time. In the interstates highways once again the radio is off, because I am paying attention to the radar detector.
Those times that my Rotties are with me , I turn on the XM radio for the 1950's channel they seem to enjoy the music.
When my bride and I ride together we also listen to XM radio.

on the way to the mountains this last weekend (when we discovered the same audio GGebhardt is having) my 8 year old was relaxing on the comfy reclining rear seats, resting his head on the rear armrest and watching a video (cranked to 45 on the audio so he could hear).

Blue Trix barf does not come out of the tan interior so well. I'll use a "full detail" card at the dealership when they inspect the radio for the sound problem.

To keep those up to date, I had the car looked at and they agree there is a problem. Lexus will get with ML and see what to do. I am not in a hurry and it can be addressed at the 5k service

Greg,
They said they would make my car the test case and will share the information with your dealership. (they said they could see where your dealership posted your problem on the linked "service mega computer database thingy")
They said Florida had the only other problem like mine (yours I'm guessing)
They need a new 570 to come in and they will compare to mine and test amps and the system.
I will follow up with you as soon as I get it back. If they wreck my car, will you buy me a beer at least for being the sucker?? haha.

Have you heard anything about this yet?
I'm waiting to time my 5000 mi service with a new 570 coming in to compare against. I'm at 3700 right now.

A late Happy Easter to yiou, too!

I am just now at 4100 miles so in the next few weeks I will take mine in.

I have got somewhat used to it and KNOW that I better turn my volume down some when leaving the CD or Hard Disk mode and going back to FM. If you do not remember, it will remind you!

I am SO happy with my 570 that I can also forgive it for anything and if they can not fix this, I can live anyway! Unless there is a secret hidden backdoor to get into the input sensitivity, I think it will be a major thing to fix.

I hear that there is technology to keep the advertisers from increasing the volume on our TVs but there is so much advertiser pressure to not allow it!
