I agree with the other posters. It won't be long before people are buying way below MSRP on this SUV. Lexus priced it too high compared to the outgoing 2007 model and to the competition, and the economy is looking weaker and weaker. And the closer we get to the fall, the more visible the high-mpg GL diesel will be.
IMHO, some of the advance deposits in the hands of the dealers won't even turn into real sales.

I know you are right about that in at least one case. I have had a deposit down for about 4 months and I am pretty sure i am not going to pull the trigger when I get the call from the dealer. I am 2 down on the list at this point. If I ever get one I will get it when you can deal below MSRP.

Personally, I think that SOME of the people who want to have one right away have an "emotional" need to be the first in their neighborhood to own one.

Guys I am getting 2 2008 LX570 on early april... I am not getting this cars anymore because of economic reasons... If anyone interested I will be selling the right to purchase the car and get it on April. Email me cramir@gmail.com
