Ummmmm. The title is meant as a joke. Lighten up people. Indeed they are LEDs and not HIDs. Didn't you see the in the first post? Anyway, just sharing the mod progress...

Looks great......Which LEDs did you use? Wide angle? Brightness? How many bulbs per light?

Thanks

I will not put LEDs in the headlight housing as they may melt due to the heat. A nice glass Polarg bulb will do in there. I will also leave the amber front turn signal bulbs. If you get the right kind of bulbs they are just as bright as glass bulbs. LED technology has improved on lumens over the years. As far as the bulb types, your manual has some info but its best to take the bulbs out and make sure what type you are replacing, especially the festoon bulbs (you need to measure the length). I've attached a guide for you all:

Qty where bulb type
2x reverse 921
1x glovebox 37
2x running board 168
4x interior dome 168
4x inside door
courtesy lights 168
1x trunk cargo DE3175 festoon
2x vanity mirrors festoon 1-1/8"L & 1/4W
1x over third row festoon 1-1/4"L & 3/8"W a DE3175 like the
trunk/cargowill fit
2x parking lights 168 (GLASS I wouldn't recommend LED due to the
heat

Hope this helps.

I'll post pics of the other installs later.

I'm laughing so hard because out of all the bulbs I replaced, these were probably the easiest bulbs to replace and it took me the longest to figure it out. Here is a pic of the LEDs in action in the courtesy lights on the underside of the side view mirrors.

I know this is an old thread, but hopefully someone will answer. How do you get to the courtesy light bulbs under the side mirrors?

I am still waiting for the low-beam lamps with LEDs. HIDs are becoming dated.

i think the OP meant to say LEDs ;-)

i did all of that and even put LEDs on the exterior as well. puddle lights in the mirrors and the lights on the running boards.

as far as replacing the puddle lights in the mirrors go it's much easier than the link that VVRX provided. all you have to do is remove the glass and you have access to the bulbs. there is no need to take the mirror cover off.
