Picked up a LX570 3 days ago.

I spoke to my buddy at Lexus dealer today and he said they have a silver one sitting for sale from someone on the list who backed out.
Maybe it hit that threshold now and the waitlists are down due to the economy?

got the answer that Lexus was just shipping them with all available options
right now and that they couldn't order anything special. Since my question
was actually was it available anywhere, not could they order it, either there
was a misunderstanding or they were not comfortable trying to explain
Lexus's rationale with the LX570 distribution model.

Menlo Park so far. Was thinking about heading to Half Moon Bay last
Saturday but I thought I better get more seat time before I try a
road as narrow as 92. It's a big difference from my Pathfinder, which
I still love after 12 years.

Brief update after 5 days and 117 miles.
It took me a while to get used to the size and weight of the car. It drives
like a dream but it felt very big and my arms were getting tired. I finally
adjusted the seat higher and the steering wheel a little lower. That solved
the problem with tired arms and improved visibility a lot. I know, it seems
obvious but it just didn't occur to me at first. I'm also finding the middle
comfort level the best for normal driving.
Getting about 13.3 mpg in about 50/50 city/hwy mileage but most of the
hwy miles are in heavy commute traffic. I noticed that it is going up
almost everyday so I'm reserving judgment until I start with a fresh tank
of gas. Might have been affected because the car ran idle for about
40 minutes while I got my post-purchase show and tell.
I'm also finding the outside edge of the drivers side view mirror a bit
distorting. It almost appears wavy. A close look reveals a narrow band of
about 1/4" around the outside of the mirror surface and it reflects differently
than the middle part of the mirror. The passenger side mirror has the same
band but doesn't appear to have the distorting effect.
I'm a very happy 117 mile camper but I am finding it difficult to get any
work done. Someone in my office found out I about the LX570 and now
everyone wants to take a look.
Lastly for fun, I parked next to an LX470 in the parking lot at work today.
We have a lot of GX470's in our lot as well. I'm trying to start a trend of
parking all the Lexus SUV's in the same area.

Congratulations on your new LX 570 and welcome to the club!!! Pics look great!
I had my third sighting of a brand new LX 570 the other day, same color, very imposing and powerful.
Hope you enjoy your new ride!
