It's very simple folks and you don't have to be rude, If you don't see the value you don't need to buy it, somebody else will. The LX570 is still very hot up north, they sell for MSRP and there is a list, some dealers even charge you $2-3k over MSRP if you looking for a black one. Sometime next year it might cool off but right now, in our region it's not a vehicle for everyone.

BTW, from your experience are any colors besides black relatively hard to get? And which colors are easiest to get?

Thanks.

Wait a minute, Lexus does not allow this. Lexus has stated this clearly in the past. Are you saying that some dealers are doing this or are you BSing?? Honest question. All of the dealers around my area follows this Lexus rule strictly.

The only way that a dealer can get around this is if they were to buy the vehicle and sell it as a "pre-owned" and charge over MSRP. Is this what you're talking about??

Correct.
$2-3k over MSRP : I was not referring to LEXUS dealers

easiest colors in my region are Mercury Metallic and Starfire Pearl, I can produce them within 3-4 weeks sometimes earlier then that. Anything coming in after 2nd week of sept are 2009's...

I think he means that they are selling them pre-owned for more money than new. They can add whatever to the car (chrome wheels, DVD players, Tint) on the new side and charge more.
If it has been titled, then the sky's the limit.
Easier to export a pre-owned as well.

I know shippers are paying anywhere from 5-10 grand over MSRP.... Other than that, real customer's are paying list.

WERE paying list. You just had a dealer here offering a small discount, $500-750, and that was an opening offer from him...I imagine one could do better. I think I'll be able to get $6k off by Dec or so.

Syswei, diffrent parts of the country have diffrent markets. Here in Chicago, I don't know of one LX570 that is sitting hopeing to be bought. Most are pre-sold.... If you look at Ebay, they are selling them for 5-8-12 grand over as brand new !!

Well, granted, regions differ. But just on this thread we've had a FL dealer that had 2 on the lot, and a MA dealer that offered a small discount. The market is loosening up....and markets that are still tight at the moment aren't going to stay that way much longer, imo.

Not being rude, just having fun because $500 off list on a car that ends up being +$90,000 out the door is a joke when your profit margin is still over $10,K plus whats coming back from Lexus plus not needing to floor the car for some time.
So if I buy mine and pay MSRP because my dealer tells me that they go for MSRP, then I find out a buddy gets one for $500 under?? It's not the amount of money but the fact that the dealer didnt tell me the truth.
Unless of course the car is rootbeer brown with wicker interior...then I understand the $500 off....
Who jumps at $500 to make or break a deal on a 570.
I paid MSRP, Black exterior/tan interior

I think you're basically a typically disingenuous dealer trying to make the market seem tighter than it really is, in the hope that doing so might help your own business.

A simple search on Autotrader reveals 11 *NEW* LX570s in stock at dealers within 100 miles of zip 60601:

2 at Merrillville
2 at Arlington
5 at Westmont
1 at Brookfield
1 at North Shore

I don't know about Chicagoland, but in my area not all dealers list their new inventory in Autotrader, and those that do don't always list their entire inventories, so 11 could understate the number actually "on the lots" at the moment. But in any event, 11 is a bit greater than the 0 you claim.

And this surprises you, syswei?!! Most (if not all??) salesmen are the same...full of crap and shockingly know very little about what they sell.
