Default air conditioned seats

Since the release of the 2009 lx570 has the ineffectiveness of the air conditioned seats been resolved. Both from a cooling deficiency standpoint and the loudness level.

Is the OP asking a question or telling us he know the seats have been fixed?

I think that the cooling mechanisms are carried over from all of the other cars. Don't expect them to be cold but more just cool and can keep you from getting sticky on a hot day.

They work "as well" as BMW and Mercedes by the way. I am with you though, I wish that they were a little cooler.

well, mine is a 2009 and it works... Don't expecct to have an A/C unit feeling up your back.. but it should keep your back cool in long trips. All my other lexus cars have been like this.

You really need to sit in an Escalade...true AC seats. They actually get cold, and blow cold air on you.

I wouldn't like that. the lexus as is make me feel pain in my bones after a while. I won't imagine getting anything colder.

OSSME, are they still using a blower for the air conditioned seat and if so is it still loud. Or did they go to a cooling coil.

The LX and LS use an electric coil, and have true air-conditioned seats, unlike the IS, ES, GS, and soon-to-be RX, which have little ventilation fans but don't actually cool the seats.

I live and work in Texas, and I have no complaints about the LX seat coolers. BMW also makes very good ones, Escalades are OK, and M-B sucks.

KALVANO, Where did you find the infomation that the LX570 is using an electric coil and did that change from 2008 to 2009 or was it always that way. Also other people were complaining that when they had the air conditioned seat on that the blower noise was very loud,is there also a blower if it has an electric coil and if so is it still very loud.

There's no blower. It's called a Peltier unit.

It's on the LS and the LX, and has been since they were redesigned. It's true heated and COOLED seats, not ventilated.

I turned the Seat cooling at the highest and when no body is setting I can hear it operating. However, I won't be calling it loud.

I also noticed that you can actually feel the air moving when you are setting on the seats.
