How much did you pay II

July unit sales for the LX570: 843
November: 424
-50% in 4 months
Not that the rest of the luxury market is doing much differently.
I wonder if black ones are still selling at sticker? he,he,he

oh yeah, definitely.... black ones are rare and LX are ONLY made in limited quantities per year so people are still paying sticker / premium for it.. LOL!!!
i would not doubt that these cars will sell for less than invoice if the economy continues to suffer as is.... by then it would be a perfect time to buy your dream car....(ferrari enzo?? LOL!!)

While everyone is waiting to get the rock bottom price, aren't your trade-ins depreciating at similar rates?
If you wait 6 months to save $4000 but a trade-in drops the same, aren't you even? Now what if that 2000 470 needs a repair out of warranty?
It seems like there's good deals to be had and everyone who has bought a 570 is thrilled enough with the car, however the most opinionated people on the thread are all almost ready to maybe buy as soon as some price point may or may not possibly hit.
Just an observance. Not trying to stir it.
I paid MSRP and didn't hyper-analyze the production stats for Lexus/Toyota for a rolling 12 month period.

But to answer your question on depreciation, the DOLLAR depreciation on a 2009 LX is going to be much much greater than the dollar depreciation on a 2000 LX. That may or may not be offset by potential repair costs, which is a matter of chance.

Just bought 2008 LX at $500 over Invoice
Just bought a new 2008 LX 570 $500 over invoice. I bought at $72800. Edmunds says the invoice was $71800 but the dealer records showed 72300-maybe be advertising fees. This car was not a demo, only had 165 miles on it-manufactured in Aug08
Either way, a great deal for end of model year LX. The 2009 LX on the lot are sold in this area before arrival, and they sell at MSRP.

We live less than 2 hours from 4 different Lexus dealerships, and I actually contact 3 of them, narrowed it down (due to stock 2009 LX 570- with DVD and cool box upgrade) to 2. I worked with both. After 10 days, I choose the closer dealer (5 miles from our home) but the 2nd dealer was after the sale bad, continued to offer 3k less then the closer one, on top of free shipping the vehicle to our home. We choose closer b/c we know we will be using their service in the future.
USAA has a car buying advantage plan which also helped us. All said and done about 14k off.
Remember they made only 10,000 LX last year, so lower stock, less need to hagle, b/c harder to find.
