I was wondering if anyone has installed a remote start on their 570. I have seen one that uses the factory key fob and wonder if it is a lexus part. I also would like to add headrest video to my vehicle. I have the mark levinson with dvd player and was wondering if it has a video out that can be accessed? I am planning on ordering the override discussed here previously. Great forum here, have been lurking for a while and finally got my new SUV so I thought I would pick your brains. Thanks.

ChuckP, I see it has been a while, but for what it's worth, there is a factory remote start option, typically installed at port. I have it. You can buy it at your dealership and have them install it or tackle it yourself if you are handy. I have the PDF with the installation instructions at hone, and it's definitely doable.

My lx came with the remote start. It is a dumb function, the engine starts remotely, but when you open the door the engine shuts off and you need to re-start the engine. By the way, the remote control came with the entertainment system

Not a dumb option! Several times a year I have used the remote start to start my car from inside my warm motel room, so the LX will be warm when I have to get out on the cold, snowy road. If someone else were to get in my car and try to drive off, they could not restart it....I like the feature.

The engine immobilizer will inhibit the gear switch when the key in not present within the vehicle.
