Buy used LX, leftover '15, or wait for '16?

i am wondering if the drive train and engine are exactly the same in the LX and LC. I know Toyota modifies their mechanical parts to some extent to make it a lexus.
I like both. Can you raise and lower the LC as well?
here is a nice LC video

Isn't the Land Cruiser only few thousand cheaper than LX? How much did you pay for your Land Cruiser?
I believe the only difference is Land Cruiser has the KDSS, LX use electric control...
If want go serious off road I think should go for new set of AT or MT tries... those factory tires are really for on road driving...

$77k. For sure for off roading LC is way to go. Also it is fully loaded to start with where in Lexus every option is an option. Invoice difference of similarly configured is roughly 12K. I have to say the Lexus' interior is much nicer, but I like the more conservative exterior which should age nicely as LX you never know. If not the front of LX, I would probably spend the extra $.
$77K... you got big discount? I thought Land Cruiser start around $84K

The LX actually is quite loaded already... Most will be adding $5K of stuff (Luxury package - $1,190; ML speaker - $2,350; HUD - $900; Qi - $75; Heated wheel - $150; Forced 21' wheels - $745)
Only thing left is cooler box - $170 & rear screen - $2,005; which both I think is useless to me at least...
No kids yet, so rear screen no point, and even have kids, I don't think is a good idea to give them that options if really need... there is ipadsssssssssss lol
Cool box... just take up space in center... and I doubt people will really use it often...

Cool box. Agree that it takes space, but I can see utilization in the summer. I can skip taking a regular cooler. Also meantime I am using it to store cables, chargers, etc...
I am with you on screens. If it would be an option for LC I would skip it, but it comes with it so looks like my daughter will enjoy it.
Not a bad option for people without kids as well. Imagine yourself on a date somewhere on top of mountain (on LC wheels of course), you turn heat to back seats, recline them back, pop a bottle of champaign or couple cold beers (if you have the cooler). BTW that is how kids are made so you will need those screens in the near future.
