Random LX Picture of the Day - Post Yours

Never mind, I found the general area. Did you overnight in the cabin?
I'm thinking of perhaps trying the road from highway 21 into Gran Jean and back on Sunday next weekend or weekend after that.
Great pictures.

Cabin? What cabin? (Hopefully, you are talking with me, Steve...) We drove back to Boise at the end of the day. We are talking about heading back up there at the end of this week to have some down time in the mountains.
I would be interested to know if the road up to Gran Jean is actually open. Avalanches and mud sides, along with downed trees my inhibit your trek, even if the snow is melted.

This early in the season, I always take Mr. Stihl with me, just in case...
We don't do cabins, either. We're still in a 4-man tent...my lady, I, and 2 4-legged security guards. The cabin I referred to has its picture on your post.
Great video's...the starting perspective on the "crawl" video makes it look like you're scaling the Grand Canyon. Nice to see that Hamish got filthy.

I'm not seeing that pic of a cabin, but if my father in law inadvertantly filmed one... I HAVE GOT TO FIND THAT! LOL.
Yeah, we have tents, but also have a 26' travel trailer, which my wife prefers over the tents. I am planning on doing some tent camping with the girls this summer to try and have some daddy / daughter time before they grow up completely!

Oh, and the ground was still shifting around this too... I found (after walking in front of the slide) that the ground in front of the BFR (Big F'n Rock) was actually dirt covered snow... so the snow was melting and the ground was shifting. We left fairly quickly thereafter.

Which road had the bf-rock...usfs or state of Idaho.
I think you would have better luck next time if you pushed with both hands.
